This isn&#8217;t a game to see how much weight I can lose in 3 months by any means necessary.

<p>A valid question.</p>
<p>First, let me say this:  I&#8217;m going for healthy.</p>
<p>This isn&#8217;t a game to see how much weight I can lose in 3 months by any means necessary.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not doing a crash diet, fad diet, or starving myself.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m simply adjusting my unhealthy eating habits and getting on a better eating plan.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m replacing junk food with lean protein, whole grains, veggies, fruit, low-fat dairy, etc.</p>
<p>Like normal people.</p>
<p>Plus, I will get a reward <em>meal </em>once a week.</p>
<p>Food isn&#8217;t the bad guy.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been me and some bad habits that are the culprit.</p>
<p>I also stopped working out several years ago.</p>
<p>And I sit behind a desk all day.</p>
<p>That hasn&#8217;t helped matters.</p>
<p>So I&#8217;m training to run a 5k on Thanksgiving Day called T<a href="http://www.blackhillsrunnersclub.com/races/turkey_trot.html">he Turkey Trot</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m using the <a href="http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml">Couch to 5k plan</a> to prepare.<img class="alignright size-full wp-image-333" style="margin-left: 4px; margin-right: 4px;" title="oldies" src="http://thismustchange.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/oldies.jpg" alt="oldies" width="254" height="254" /></p>
<p>I&#8217;m also hitting the weights and doing the <a href="http://hundredpushups.com/">100 pushup challenge</a>.</p>
<p>Maybe I&#8217;ll try Richard Simmons Sweatin&#8217; to the Oldies while I&#8217;m at it.</p>
<p>On second thought&#8230;</p>
<p>Bottom line: I&#8217;m eating more nutritiously and working out.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m a simple guy and am using a simple plan.</p>
<p>In 3 months, I&#8217;m not sure how much I&#8217;ll weigh.</p>
<p>But I do know this: I&#8217;ll be healthier.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s my challenge.</p>
<p>The challenge for you is to stand up and give a buck a pound in the next 3 months for these <a href="http://thismustchange.org/the-causes/">six life-giving causes. </a></p>
<p>That&#8217;s it.</p>
