Another pound lost this past week. That makes two pounds in the last two weeks. Which isn’t too impressive. I was averaging about 3 pounds a week. So why the sudden change?
A couple of weeks ago I pulled a muscle in my back/shoulder area doing a deadlift. Since then, I’ve had to take it easy to allow time for the injury to heal and pain to subside.
Weight training has been a significant part of my workout plan and it’s clear it was the difference between 1 pound lost a week & 3 pounds a week.
The good news is this past weekend I was able to begin lifting again (cautiously) and do cardio without pain. I still have to be careful (no deadlifts for now) but hopefully getting back into the groove will result in better numbers moving forward.
